The Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center has again won the Hilton Head Monthly 2022 Readers' Choice Award for “Best Tennis Center on Hilton Head.” The resort’s world-renowned tennis center has received the local award several times in the past, most recently in 2020.

Palmetto Dunes offers 19 Har-Tru tennis courts, four of which are lighted for night play, as well as a well-stocked, 1,800-square-foot tennis pro shop — Hilton Head Island’s largest. In addition, Palmetto Dunes not only boasts 24 lighted pickleball courts, but also one of the most comprehensive instructional programs on the East Coast. Or guests can sign up for the resort’s “Serving Clinic” to focus on their delivery, or try the “Grand Slam Clinic” for fast paced drills. The “Create Your Own Clinic Program” at Palmetto Dunes can also be designed to work on the skills and strategies that guests want to improve the most.
Palmetto Dunes also offers pickleball activities throughout the week, providing another great way to get out and get active in the winter. The resort’s most popular program is the daily Ladder Round Robins, which are pro supervised sessions helping guests progress in a social, fun environment.
Guests can take a private tennis lesson with Director of Tennis Instruction, Eric Wammock or Head Tennis Professional, Patrick Walker, or other highly rated instructors.
